Qualifications and Experience:

Current Illinois Physical Therapy license required Experience providing PT services in a middle and/or high school environment preferred Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and school-based documentation Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills District-specific credentials or certifications as applicable (e.g., Professional Educator License if required by district) Ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, and implement physical therapy interventions for students with various needs Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to optimize student progress Maintain detailed records according to school and state regulations Participate in IEP meetings and contribute relevant PT insights Provide staff training and resources as needed for carryover of therapeutic strategies Ensure safe and effective therapy practices within the school environment
