Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing Physical Therapy services to K-12 students across two buildings near Des Plaines, IL. This part-time position is ideal for passionate professionals eager to make a difference in a school-based environment while enjoying a manageable, consistent schedule.
Key Qualifications:
Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in Illinois Experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration with students, staff, and families Ability to provide compassionate, student-centered care across diverse cultures and abilities Familiarity with managing a varied caseload and traveling between buildings
Core Responsibilities:
Evaluate and provide direct therapy services to students in grades K-12 in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate with special education teams, classroom teachers, and parents to develop and monitor treatment goals Document progress, maintain records, and contribute to eligibility/IEP meetings Provide adaptive strategies to enhance access to the school curriculum and learning environment Participate in school-based initiatives promoting movement, safety, and accessibility Enjoy the benefits of a consistent schedule—work just 2 days per week, totaling 14 hours, with assignments running from ASAP through June 9, 2027.
