Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in students' lives by supporting their physical development in a dynamic school-based setting near Elgin, IL. This contract opportunity is ideal for an enthusiastic Physical Therapist seeking to work district-wide across one to two schools. With a manageable caseload of 10-15 students, you'll focus on helping individuals achieve their fullest potential in fulfilling, collaborative environments.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Physical Therapist licensure in Illinois is required Experience in educational or pediatric physical therapy settings preferred Strong skills in collecting and interpreting data related to student IEP goals Ability to collaborate effectively with IEP teams, families, and educational staff Adaptable and organized, able to manage responsibilities across multiple sites
Primary Responsibilities:
Support the physical development and mobility needs of students, integrating evidence-based therapeutic interventions Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in accordance with student IEPs Collect data and track progress toward IEP objectives for each student Partner with a diverse network of stakeholders, including educators, families, and fellow therapists, to provide a coordinated approach to care Provide consultation and in-service support to classroom staff, empowering them to reinforce therapeutic goals throughout the school day This position offers a structured schedule, with hours from 7:20 a.m. to 2:35 p.m., allowing for excellent work-life balance.
