A contract position is available for an experienced Physical Therapist to provide impactful services at both an elementary and a middle school near Gurnee, IL for the upcoming academic year. This rewarding role is the perfect fit if you want to deliver specialized care while enjoying stability and balance.
Key Qualifications:
Hold a valid Illinois Physical Therapist license Previous experience in pediatric or school-based therapy strongly preferred Strong communication and collaboration abilities Passion for facilitating student development and achievement Positive, proactive approach to working with multi-disciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy assessments and treatments to students according to individualized education programs (IEPs) Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families to support student participation in school-related activities Document services, progress, and any necessary modifications to therapy plans Consult with faculty to adapt classroom environments for student needs Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert input regarding student goals and outcomes This opportunity is 2 days per week during the school year, starting in August, allowing you to maintain work-life harmony while making a meaningful impact.
