Position Overview The South Central Chiropractic Rehabilitation Clinic is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in Skokie, Illinois. In this full-time onsite role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the quality of patient care through personalized rehabilitation programs aimed at improving mobility and overall health. Work Environment Our rehabilitation facility in Skokie is designed to support a wide variety of therapies and rehabilitation techniques. You will work closely with a collaborative group of healthcare professionals in a modern and welcoming environment that prioritizes patient comfort and recovery. Equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation tools and technologies, you will have the resources needed to implement effective treatments and therapies. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions, using evidence-based practice to guide treatment plans. Establish and implement individualized treatment plans that utilize techniques such as therapeutic exercises, stretching, manual therapy, and the use of specialized equipment. Continuously monitor and document patient progress, responses to treatment, and adjust therapy plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on self-management practices, therapeutic exercises, and the use of assistive devices to promote independence. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless continuity of care and comprehensive patient management. Participate in professional development activities, including seminars and workshops, to stay current with industry best practices and emerging research. Patient Population / Client Focus The ideal candidate will engage with a diverse patient population, including both children and adults facing various physical challenges. You will work with patients recovering from surgeries, managing chronic illnesses, or seeking rehabilitation for sports-related injuries. Each interaction will focus on enhancing mobility, alleviating pain, and enabling patients to regain their strength and independence. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is highly advantageous. Current state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Illinois. Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members. Proficiency in computer skills and experience with electronic health records. A proactive and adaptable approach to patient care. Preferred Experience While prior work experience in a similar role is not required, candidates with exposure to pediatric and geriatric rehabilitation, sports medicine, or orthopedic injuries will be viewed favorably. Demonstrated competency in implementing therapeutic techniques and familiarity with assistive devices will enhance your application.
