Key Qualifications & Experience:
Licensed Physical Therapist with school-based experience preferred Familiarity with IEP development, documentation, and progress monitoring Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators and families Ability to manage a partial weekly schedule, with flexibility for 3-4 days onsite Experience delivering both direct and consultative PT services to diverse student populations
What You'll Do:
Provide direct therapeutic interventions to students individually according to their IEPs at three school buildings Deliver consultative physical therapy services and guidance to staff for select students Maintain thorough, timely documentation of sessions, progress, and IEP goals Coordinate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and administrators to optimize student engagement and mobility Adapt sessions to meet each student's unique strengths, needs, and learning environment Support the development of strategies and accommodations to promote student independence The student caseload varies between buildings, ranging from short sessions (as little as 7.5 minutes/week) up to regular 45-60 minute weekly sessions. You'll work with a manageable group of students requiring both one-on-one interventions and collaboration on student care plans.
