Position Overview Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dedicated full-time Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our innovative team in Waukegan, Illinois. The ideal candidate will work closely with patients to facilitate their recovery journey, maximizing their mobility and enhancing their overall quality of life. You will be a vital partner for clients, helping them regain functional independence through personalized care plans and targeted therapeutic interventions. Our state-of-the-art facility spans 5,000 square feet and is equipped with the latest technology and resources for sports medicine. We pride ourselves on a collaborative team approach, consisting of experienced physical therapists and physical therapy assistants who work collectively to foster a healing environment. We primarily accept private insurance, enabling us to focus on delivering high-quality care without the constraints of managed care. Work Environment This position is based onsite at our Waukegan facility, where you will engage directly with patients in a professional and therapeutic environment. Our center fosters teamwork and innovation, promoting continuous professional development in line with evidence-based practices. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration. Key Responsibilities Assess and understand each patient's unique needs, creating tailored treatment plans that address their personal goals and challenges. Manage a caseload of 2-3 patients per hour, providing high-quality, one-on-one care. Utilize a variety of treatment techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, to improve patients' motion and mobility. Educate patients on the importance of healthy lifestyle choices and promote wellness through strength, flexibility, and coordination improvement. Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Document all patient interactions and treatment services in our EMR system, ensuring accurate communication regarding patient care. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, consulting with other health professionals to enhance care strategies when required. Patient Population / Client Focus In our orthopedic outpatient setting, you will treat a diverse demographic of patients, ranging from athletes recovering from injuries to individuals managing chronic orthopedic conditions. Our focus is on restoring function and promoting a healthy lifestyle to support long-term well-being. We value personal connections with our patients, allowing us to tailor interventions to their specific needs and aspirations. Qualifications A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution. Current and valid Physical Therapist license in Illinois, with no disciplinary actions on record. Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in exercise prescription. Experience using EMR software like WebPT for efficient documentation and patient tracking. Preferred Experience A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred. A background in sports medicine or rehabilitation can be advantageous.
