As a K-12 school-based Physical Therapist in Illinois, your days will include: Provide school-based physical therapy services to K-12 students across the district based on student needs. Evaluate students' functional mobility, strength, balance, positioning, and access needs within the educational environment. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and contribute to IEP goals and recommendations as appropriate. Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, families, and school staff to support student participation and independence. Recommend and support the use of adaptive equipment, positioning strategies, and mobility supports when needed. Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and required school-based service records. Participate in meetings and communicate progress and recommendations to the educational team.
Job Details Position:
Contract, ASAP through end of school year
Schedule:
5 days per week; district is also open to candidates available 3 days per week
Caseload:
K-12 district support; building assignment/caseload based on district needs Successful Candidates Possess An active Illinois Physical Therapist (PT) license (required) Professional Educator License (PEL) is not required for this school-based Physical Therapist opportunity Experience in a pediatric or school setting (preferred) The ability to work in the U.S. without a sponsor
