Lafayette, LA Pay:

$39-45/hour, depending on experience Train Unique is looking for a Physical Therapist who wants to do something different. We specialize in serving individuals with intellectual, developmental, neurological, and physical disabilities through adaptive fitness, strength training, sports, and community-based programming. We are now building a physical therapy division designed to bridge the gap between traditional rehabilitation and lifelong fitness. We are looking for a Lead Physical Therapist / Clinic Director to help us build that program in Lafayette. This is not a traditional outpatient PT role. You will have access to a full training facility with turf, strength equipment, sleds, functional training equipment, adaptive equipment, and a team that already works every day with individuals with disabilities. Our goal is to create an environment where therapy looks and feels more like real movement, fitness, sport, and life. Who you'll work with Our population may include: Autism and developmental disabilities Cerebral palsy Down syndrome Spinal cord injuries Traumatic brain injuries Neurological conditions Gait and balance impairments Mobility limitations Pediatric developmental conditions Adults transitioning out of traditional therapy Adaptive athletes What you'll do Evaluate and treat pediatric and adult physical therapy patients Develop individualized plans of care Deliver evidence-based therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular reeducation, gait training, therapeutic activities, and other appropriate interventions Help establish clinical policies, documentation standards, and workflows Work with our credentialing and billing partners as we become contracted with Louisiana Medicaid and Healthy Louisiana MCOs Help develop an efficient, high-quality clinical model Collaborate with Train Unique coaches when patients transition from skilled PT into long-term adaptive fitness Eventually help supervise PTAs, technicians, or additional PTs as the program grows Help build referral relationships with physicians, therapists, schools, disability organizations, and community partners What we're looking for Current Louisiana Physical Therapist license, or ability to obtain one DPT or other qualifying PT degree Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills Comfortable working with individuals with disabilities Experience in neurological, pediatric, developmental, adaptive, or outpatient therapy is strongly preferred Medicaid experience is a plus Leadership or clinic-development experience is a plus Most importantly, we want someone who believes that people with disabilities should have access to the same opportunities to become strong, healthy, active, and independent as everyone else. Compensation We are looking to start part time - hourly pay, until we build our case load and can then transition to salary. We are also open to discussing performance incentives as the therapy division grows.
