Desired Skills & Experience:
Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Physical Therapist Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but not required Strong understanding of pediatric physical therapy principles Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and families Ability to manage time efficiently and maintain thorough documentation
Key Responsibilities:
Assess students to identify physical and developmental needs within educational settings Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans to promote students' motor skills, functional mobility, and independence Collaborate with educators, special education staff, families, and other therapists to integrate therapeutic goals into students' daily routines Monitor progress, adapt interventions, and maintain clear, timely reports and documentation Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings, sharing recommendations and progress updates Provide education and training for teachers, parents, and caregivers to support students' ongoing development
