Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a positive impact in an educational setting as a Physical Therapist working with K-12 students on a part-time contract basis. Located in the Leonardtown area, this role offers an opportunity to support students' growth and development throughout the academic year. You'll collaborate with educators and families to develop individualized treatment plans that help students achieve their best possible outcomes.
Key Qualifications:
Active Maryland Physical Therapist (PT) license required Experience or interest in working with K-12 students in a school-based environment Ability to adapt services for diverse needs across elementary, middle, and high school Strong communication and collaborative skills Current knowledge of best practices for pediatric physical therapyResponsibilities:
Perform evaluations, develop treatment plans, and deliver direct PT services to students Monitor and document student progress, making data-driven adjustments to interventions Consult and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators and parents Provide training and support for staff related to mobility, adaptive equipment, and safe physical activities Maintain thorough, compliant documentation in alignment with school district and state guidelines Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to individualized education plans This part-time opportunity averages 20-25 hours per week, running from August 10th, 2026, through June 17th, 2027.
