Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as a full-time Physical Therapist working with students across several welcoming communities. Your expertise will empower students throughout Climax-Scotts, Comstock, Parchment, Gull Lake, and Galesburg-Augusta to achieve their fullest potential. This contract position offers 35-40 hours per week, allowing you to build strong relationships with students and staff while maintaining work-life balance.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) with active credentials Previous experience working in schools or pediatric settings preferred Skilled in conducting evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions Ability to document services and progress notes efficiently and accurately Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments for all students
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform student evaluations to determine physical therapy needs Deliver direct and consultative services tailored to each student's goals Maintain clear and concise service notes in compliance with district and regulatory standards Collaborate with educational teams to support students' progress and participation in school activities Engage in ongoing communication with families to ensure comprehensive care Participate in team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning
