In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating pediatric patients with various physical impairments, disabilities, or injuries. You will be working alongside a great team of occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists as well as an adorable therapy dog, Charlie Brown. Duties Assess patients' physical conditions and develop individualized treatment plans based on their specific needs and goals. Implement therapeutic interventions, including exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to enhance recovery and mobility. Educate patients on their conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures to promote long-term health. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care within the outpatient setting. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in accordance with regulatory standards. Stay updated on advancements in physical therapy practices and participate in ongoing professional development. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist. Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques. Experience in outpatient settings preferred; familiarity with acute care or home community care is a plus. Experience with Universal Exercise Unit is a plus. Ability to develop effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Excellent communication skills for educating patients and collaborating with healthcare teams. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases effectively while ensuring high-quality patient care.
