School-Based Physical Therapist - Saint Peters, Missouri

Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing expert physical therapy services to early childhood students in a supportive educational environment. This part-time position focuses primarily on diagnostic evaluations and recommendations, offering impactful support during a critical developmental stage. With a flexible schedule of up to 20 hours per week—especially mornings—this engagement runs through December 1st and allows you to specify your preferred working days. As a valued in-person contributor, you will play a vital role by conducting assessments and shaping individualized service recommendations for young learners. In addition, you'll assist with overflow from existing treating PTs and provide essential coverage during a team member's maternity leave. Your expertise will directly support students' growth and the continuity of care within a collaborative team.
Desired Qualifications:
Active Missouri physical therapy license (please include license number upon application) Prior experience or strong interest in early childhood and school-based settings Strong diagnostic skills; comfort with evaluating, documenting, and recommending services for preschools or early learners Availability for morning hours (preferred); flexibility in days and times Ability to begin as soon as possible and commit through early December Commitment to in-person work (virtual/remote is not an option for this assignment)
Responsibilities:
Perform in-person physical therapy evaluations for early childhood students Develop and document recommendations for services and interventions Coordinate with existing therapists to manage treatment overflow and ensure seamless support during maternity coverage Collaborate with early childhood educators and families to optimize student outcomes This is an excellent chance to make a direct difference in a child-centered setting with a manageable, flexible schedule.
