In this school-based role, you'll collaborate with educators, families, and staff to foster student growth and independence, creating a positive impact in their daily lives.
Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program Active state Physical Therapist license in good standing An active State license sanctioned by the State Board of Physical Therapy Prior experience working with pediatric or school-based populations highly desired, though not required Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy services in accordance with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) Evaluate students' motor skills and develop goals tailored to support educational performance Employ evidence-based interventions to address gross motor, mobility, balance, and access needs Maintain detailed documentation of assessments, goals, and progress reports Actively participate in IEP meetings and communicate with teachers, staff, and families Provide consultative guidance to staff for integrating therapeutic strategies into the classroom Stay current with best practices through ongoing professional development
