Job Description
Overview:
Chiropractic office needs a Rehab Tech to assist and instruct in rehabilitative exercises and therapies for its patients. This candidate must be enthusiastic, dependable, punctual, organized, detail and people oriented, highly motivated and a team player. Excellent interpersonal skills are required, such as being outgoing, friendly and assertive. This is a high paced position and the candidate needs flexibility and adaptability to changing tasks, as well as, impeccable attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and multi task. Moderate to advanced computer skills are needed along with the ability to quickly and easily enter information using various programs on multiple platforms. Professionalism is a must.PLEASE NOTE
WEARE ONLY OPEN AN AVERAGE OF FOUR AND A HALF DAYS PER WEEK BUT YOU STILL GET PAID FOR 40 HOURS. THIS WILL BE DISCUSSED AND EXPLAINED IN DETAIL DURING THE INTERVIEW PHASE.
Responsibilities:
- Safely instruct client through an effective rehab session.
- Provide quality customer service to all current and potential patients.
- Ensure patient safety throughout rehabilitation activities.
- Communicate effectively with the supervisor.
- Enforce all program policies and procedures as it pertains to the rehabilitation program.
- This person will perform day to day operations of answering the phone, scheduling appointments, assisting with paper work, with an emphasis on applying and overseeing therapies such as electrical muscle stim, ultrasound, spinal decompression therapy, as well as practicing good body mechanics and exercises with patients.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Would prefer:- Possess current, nationally accredited primary personal trainer certification or degree in medical related field such as kinesiology, massage therapy, pre-physical therapy.
Competencies:
Technical Competencies- Proficiency with rehabilitative equipment such as electrical muscle stimulation and computerized traction.
- Proficiency with fitness assessment equipment, including but not limited to: blood pressure, height, weight, muscular strength and endurance testing, and flexibility testing.
- Proficient with exercise prescription and assisting with developing progressive rehabilitative programs for patients. Work Environment
