Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the school setting by providing essential physical therapy services to students on a contract basis. This role is located near Castle Hayne, NC, where you'll work alongside educators and fellow professionals dedicated to student growth and well-being. You'll have the opportunity to facilitate student progress, contribute to individualized education plans, and help students reach their potential in both academic and physical pursuits.
Qualifications:
Current license as a Physical Therapist Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred Solid understanding of IEP processes and documentation Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches based on student needs and progress
Responsibilities:
Provide physical therapy assessments, develop therapy plans, and deliver direct interventions to students Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support each student's educational goals Document student progress, maintain thorough records in compliance with school and state guidelines Participate in IEP meetings, offering expertise and updates regarding students' functional capabilities Educate staff and families about strategies and accommodations to assist students in accessing their educational environment Support student independence and participation throughout the school day If you are passionate about helping children access their education through the power of physical therapy and enjoy collaborating with a dedicated team, you'll thrive in this rewarding environment.
