Job Description
Our client, a 100+ bed healthcare facility located about 45 mins from Hendersonville, NC in the Southwestern part of NC near the Blue Ridge foothills, has a need for a Physical Therapist to join their team. This is an Inpatient PT position. Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient condition and functional status. Develops and updates an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the patient, based on goals and capabilities. Plans, prepares, and carries out evidence-based interventions to maintain, improve, or restore function; alleviate pain; and prevent dysfunction. Delivers therapy using standard PT techniques and modalities appropriate to patient age and condition (e.g., moist heat/cold, ultrasound, UV/IR lamps, therapeutic exercise, manual therapy). Administers physical agents and operates PT equipment safely; performs necessary set-up and checks. Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices; recommends modifications as needed. Identifies/document goals, anticipated progress, and timelines; plans for reevaluation and discharge. Directs and supervises PTAs, students, and support personnel; delegates tasks appropriately and ensures clear communication. Accurately documents assessments, interventions, patient response, education, and progress toward goals. Participates in performance improvement and continuing education
