Position Overview The Physical Therapy Services Center is excited to invite applications for the role of Orthopedic Physical Therapist. We are looking for a full-time professional who is dedicated to the rehabilitation and recovery of orthopedic patients. Your main focus will be to utilize evidence-based practices and personalized treatment plans to help individuals regain their strength and functionality. Work Environment This position is based in a dynamic onsite rehabilitation facility where you will be aligned with a diverse team of healthcare professionals. Our rehabilitation center is designed to facilitate recovery through state-of-the-art equipment and treatment modalities. You will work collaboratively with fellow therapists, nurses, and a multidisciplinary team to implement comprehensive rehab programs that prioritize patient safety and comfort. Key Responsibilities Conduct initial evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans based on each patient's unique needs and recovery goals. Implement therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, functional training, and therapeutic exercise tailored to orthopedic conditions. Utilize advanced treatment modalities, including ultrasound and electrical stimulation, to optimize recovery. Regularly assess and document patient progress in accordance with practice standards and regulatory requirements, adjusting treatment plans as necessary. Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding treatment options, ongoing care, and injury prevention measures. Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and outcomes, sharing insights and collaborating on best practices. Patient Population / Client Focus You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries and conditions such as joint replacements, fractures, and sports injuries. Our patient population includes individuals of all ages, from adolescents to seniors, all seeking to regain their independence and quality of life through effective rehabilitation efforts. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Valid and current Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey. A minimum of three years of practical experience in physical therapy, particularly in orthopedic rehabilitation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and multidisciplinary team members. Ability to demonstrate a patient-centered approach to care, focusing on building rapport and trust with patients. Preferred Experience Experience in a rehabilitation facility setting is preferred, with familiarity in treating post-surgical orthopedic patients. Knowledge of current research in physical therapy practices and its application in treatment plans. Experience in utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) systems for patient documentation and progress tracking.
