Physical Therapist - School Setting in Orange, NJ Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Orange, NJ Job Details Full-time | Contract $40 - $100 an hour 17 hours ago Qualifications Physical Therapy License Full Job Description Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding full-time contract opportunity supporting students across a dynamic school district! Work in a district-wide setting, providing physical therapy services to K-12 students across multiple schools. This role is perfect for professionals who excel in adapting to diverse educational environments and are committed to helping students achieve their fullest potential. Work 35 consistent hours each week, from 8:30AM to 3:15PM, beginning September 4, 2026, and continue through June 25, 2027. Your expertise in school-based physical therapy will positively impact the educational experience of children at all grade levels.
Qualifications:
Valid Physical Therapist license in New Jersey Previous experience in a school setting or pediatric environment preferred Ability to complete NJ-required credentials: TB test, physical, and fingerprints for both agency and school district Flexibility to travel between multiple schools within the district Strong communication and organizational skills Willingness to participate in a Zoom interview as part of the screening process
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct physical therapy services to students K-12, in accordance with IEPs and district goals Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop effective intervention plans Document progress and maintain detailed records Support safe and inclusive participation in school activities Offer consultative guidance to staff and families as needed Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to evaluation and treatment planning This position offers an engaging workday, the opportunity to make a district-wide impact, and the chance to work with a supportive network of professionals.
