Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team in our West Orange office. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of musculoskeletal health, patient assessment, and evidence-based physical therapy practices. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with physical impairments, developing personalized care plans, and providing exceptional patient care to promote optimal health, mobility, and function. Responsibilities Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for occupational health cases or complex medical conditions requiring multidisciplinary approaches. Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including physical assessments and functional movement screenings, to accurately diagnose musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions. Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing manual therapy, joint and soft tissue mobilization, therapeutic exercise, cold laser therapy, electric stimulation, and other evidence-based methods. Manage acute and chronic pain conditions effectively through targeted rehabilitation protocols and patient-centered treatment strategies. Perform functional movement analysis and utilize medical imaging or diagnostic findings to inform treatment decisions. Educate patients on their conditions, home exercise programs, treatment options, and preventive measures related to biomechanics, posture, and the musculoskeletal system. Maintain detailed documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress using EMR/EHR systems in compliance with healthcare standards. Stay current with advancements in physical therapy, anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitative medicine to ensure best practices in patient care. Qualifications Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey recognized by relevant licensing authorities. Extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, kinesiology, and the musculoskeletal system. Proven experience in patient assessment, functional movement screening, and musculoskeletal diagnostics. Proficiency in manual therapy, joint and soft tissue mobilization, therapeutic exercise programming, and pain management strategies. Experience with post-operative rehabilitation, orthopedic care, and geriatric physical therapy a plus. Strong understanding of healthcare diagnosis procedures and medical imaging interpretation. Experience with EMR/EHR systems for accurate record-keeping and care planning. Excellent patient communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and compassionately. Ability to develop effective, individualized care plans that incorporate evidence-based practice principles for optimal patient outcomes.
