This rewarding contract position is ideal for a dedicated Physical Therapist seeking to work part-time with a manageable caseload. Your expertise will directly influence student independence and mobility skills, ensuring they receive the tailored support they need to thrive in their educational journey.
Key Qualifications:
Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist Experience in a school-based setting preferred Strong assessment and documentation skills Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and related service professionals Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach with students of varying abilities
Role Details and Responsibilities:
Provide direct PT services for two students (totaling 60 minutes per week), addressing individualized goals Conduct a comprehensive evaluation for one student to determine PT needs and eligibility Develop and implement treatment plans and therapeutic interventions in accordance with IEPs Monitor and record each student's progress, adjusting techniques and goals as appropriate Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to facilitate skill generalization in the classroom and school community Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
