Job Description

Tiegerman Preschool in Franklin Square is looking for a part-time physical therapist for 2 days a week. Physical Therapists (PT) are health care professionals who treat individuals of all ages, who have been diagnosed with medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit ability to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives. Physical Therapists report directly to the Coordinator of Therapeutic Services. PT is an exempt position. The Physical Therapist must be licensed.

Responsibilities Maintain and review student records Evaluate student progress and prepare reports that display their progress Assess students' physical abilities Plan, organize and conduct PT sessions with students Restore, maintain, and promote quality of life as it relates to movement and health Meet with parents and teachers to communicate information pertaining to the students' IEP. Prevent symptoms and the progression of symptoms of physical dysfunction and disability Meet students' goals and needs Recommend changes in environment that could assist students with their needs and capabilities Make recommendations and referrals as needed Research resources and treatment methods for the students Maintain professional training by attending workshops All other duties as assigned Position is not eligible for benefits. $30,000.00 - $32,000.00 per year
