Job Description
1-on-1 Care. No Double-Booking. Ortho/Sports-Centered, PT-Owned Practice. We are a well-established and highly regarded physical therapy clinic in Long Island City , just one subway stop from Midtown Manhattan , providing comprehensive 1-on-1 care in a collaborative and wellness-focused environment. Our 5,000 sqft facility gives each clinician a private treatment space with autonomy and access to advanced rehab and performance equipment, including a fully equipped Pilates studio featuring Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Tower, and other full Pilates apparatus systems , alongside Tonal , OXEFIT , Keiser Squat Pro , EXXENTRIC , ANCORE , Kinvent dynamometer , and BFR systems . Our practice blends orthopedic rehabilitation , sports performance , movement quality , and wellness-focused care. We are looking for an experienced Physical Therapist who is comfortable integrating Pilates-based movement , manual therapy , and strength-focused rehabilitation into patient care. Our 1,000 sqft private outdoor space is ideal for sports-specific drills, return-to-sport training, and movement-based exercise sessions. We also collaborate closely with wellness and fitness professionals to support whole-person care .
Responsibilities Include:
Evaluate and treat patients with musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions through individualized, 1-on-1 care Develop customized treatment plans focused on movement quality, strength, recovery, injury prevention, and long-term wellness Integrate Pilates equipment and Pilates-based therapeutic exercise into rehabilitation and performance-focused sessions when appropriate Utilize strong hands-on manual therapy skills alongside therapeutic exercise and evidence-based treatment approaches Incorporate our advanced rehab and performance tools into treatment plans Support active and fitness-oriented patients with return-to-sport, mobility, postural, and performance-focused rehabilitation Educate patients on movement strategies, exercise, recovery, and lifestyle habits that support long-term health Collaborate with wellness and fitness professionals to provide comprehensive patient care Maintain timely and accurate documentation
Qualifications:
Licensed Physical Therapist in New York State Minimum 2 years of orthopedic clinical experience required Strong manual therapy and exercise-based treatment skills Experience utilizing Pilates equipment or Pilates-based rehabilitation approaches strongly preferred Background or interest in orthopedics, sports, fitness, movement training, or wellness-focused care preferred Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills
