2989951443-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Nealy Pierce, LLC is partnering with a leading hospital to hire an Acute Care Physical Therapist. In this full-time, inpatient role, you will evaluate and treat diverse adult and geriatric patients with complex medical and post-surgical needs. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, individualized treatment planning, functional mobility and gait training, patient and family education, and active participation in interdisciplinary rounds. You'll document accurately in the EMR, support safe discharge planning, and contribute to quality and process-improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Provide evidence-based physical therapy evaluation and treatment for acute care patients Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams on care plans Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans and goals Educate patients and families on mobility, safety, and discharge recommendations Document assessments, progress notes, and outcomes in the EMR accurately and timely Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care conferences Ensure compliance with hospital, regulatory, and professional practice standards Supervise and mentor PTAs or students as appropriate Contribute to quality improvement and clinical best-practice initiatives Uphold a patient-centered, safety-focused culture in the acute care setting Required Skills Acute care physical therapy evaluation and treatment Functional mobility and gait training Post-surgical and complex medical patient management Discharge planning and patient/family education Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation Interdisciplinary team collaboration Balance and fall-risk assessment Therapeutic exercise and neuromuscular re-education Time management in fast-paced inpatient setting Regulatory and hospital compliance knowledge
