Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Marijuana Budtender to join our team. As a Budtender, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while assisting clients with their cannabis needs. You will be responsible for educating customers about our products, ensuring compliance with regulations, and creating a welcoming atmosphere in our dispensary. Must be 18+ to apply. Felony convictions may disqualify based on OMMA guidelines (no violent felonies in 5 years, no non-violent felonies in 2 years). Applicants must obtain the required OMMA employee credential before they are eligible to begin working. Responsibilities Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored recommendations for cannabis products. Educate customers on the various strains, methods of consumption, and effects of cannabis. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining proper cash handling procedures. Maintain an organized and well-stocked sales floor by managing inventory levels and restocking products as needed. Upsell products and promotions to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Ensure compliance with all state regulations regarding the sale of cannabis products. Assist in supervising staff during shifts to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dispensary environment to create a positive shopping experience for customers. Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about products and services. Requirements Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members. Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing inventory. Previous retail sales experience is preferred. Ability to sell products while maintaining a customer-focused approach. Experience in supervising or leading a team is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. Familiarity with stock management practices to ensure product availability.
