Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact working onsite with a school-based caseload in an urban Pennsylvania setting. This is a contract role supporting K-12 students with ASD and ID, offering a small, manageable caseload and minimal incidental classroom needs. You'll collaborate closely with educators and families, providing essential physical therapy services to help students achieve their maximum potential. This position is full time, at 35 hours each week, with a contract duration extending through June 10, 2027. You'll have a consistent, long-term assignment in an engaging educational environment, working as part of a caring, multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate brings previous school-based physical therapy experience to this role, feels confident and compassionate working with diverse student populations, and is comfortable navigating the unique dynamics of an urban school setting.
Qualifications:
Active, valid Pennsylvania PT licensure/certification (must be provided with application) Demonstrated experience supporting students in school settings Familiarity working with ASD and ID populations Willingness to obtain all required Pennsylvania clearances Ability to function effectively as part of a collaborative team Comfort with onsite-only work; remote options are not available
Responsibilities:
Provide direct physical therapy services to K-12 students in alignment with IEP goals Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans Consult and collaborate with faculty, staff, and families Maintain detailed records and contribute to IEP meetings Adapt strategies to support student engagement and participation Enjoy the benefits of a consistent, full-time schedule in a supportive school community.
