Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a dynamic school environment as a Physical Therapist serving K-12 across multiple school sites. This onsite position offers the chance to make a lasting impact while collaborating with educators and families to promote student mobility, independence, and learning success. Your role will focus on providing direct physical therapy services to students, traveling to various locations within the district, and making informed recommendations to support each individual's educational goals.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Active South Carolina Physical Therapy license required Proven experience working in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations preferred Strong communication and collaboration abilities for engaging with students, staff, and families Ability to manage an itinerant schedule across multiple school sites efficiently Commitment to upholding ethical practice within educational environments
Core Responsibilities:
Assess and develop individualized treatment plans for K-12 students in collaboration with school teams Deliver direct and consultative therapy services in alignment with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Monitor student progress, document interventions, and adjust plans as needed for maximum outcomes Travel between assigned school locations to serve students as outlined by district needs Participate in IEP meetings, offering expertise and advocacy for students' therapeutic requirements Why consider this contract role?
