07/21/2026 Position Summary At Watauga Orthopaedics, our mission is to ensure our patients receive excellent care with a convenient, cooperative, and cost-effective atmosphere by providing experienced and efficient orthopaedic and surgical expertise. The purpose of the Physical Therapist is to provide exceptional customer service by interacting with patients to restore function, alleviate pain, and prevent disabilities. This may include but is not limited to: Providing quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results, determining physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription. Instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities and in using assistive/supportive devices. Evaluating effects of physical therapy treatments by observing patient's progress and recommending adjustments or modifications as necessary. Completing discharge planning by consulting with physicians, nurses, and other health care workers. Assuring continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs. Maintaining confidentiality of patient information. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor, Masters, Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Licensed to practice in the state of Tennessee. 3-5 years relevant experience preferred. Computer proficiency with Windows and Outlook experience. Good decision-making, communication, and organizational skills. Must be able to work independently. Understands the importance of maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines. Previous outpatient experience in orthopedics and sports rehabilitation. • This job description is not a complete or comprehensive list of duties required for employees.
