Job Description

Step into a dynamic contract role supporting students growth and development across a diverse K12 population in the Houston area. This full-time opportunity centers on delivering school-based physical therapy services throughout a large district, with a caseload of 160 studentsof which 50 receive direct services. The workload will be shared with a fellow PT, ensuring manageable responsibilities and collaborative support. Leverage your expertise as a Physical Therapistor consider applying if you are an experienced PTA with significant pediatric or school-based background. The position offers flexibility in your daily schedule, with start times typically at 8:00 AM or 7:30 AM, concluding by late afternoon. Utilize the district office as a home base, then travel to assigned campuses spanning the entire district.

Current and active TX Physical Therapy license Prior experience in schools or with pediatric populations (PTA applicants must have multiple years in school/pediatric settings) Proficient with documentation systems such as Frontline and SuccessEd Ability to travel between campuses as needed (driving required) Must be eligible for state-required fingerprinting and clear background screening Professionalism to work effectively in a collaborative, student-focused environment Willingness to confirm youve never worked for this district before, and able to complete required affidavits regarding termination history Primary responsibilities: Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services to K12 students Split caseload and collaborate with another PT Maintain timely, detailed documentation in electronic systems Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans Serve as a resource for school staff and families Efficiently manage your time while traveling between multiple schools Bring your commitment to making a difference in students daily lives.
