Job Description

Make a difference in the lives of K-12 students by bringing your expertise as a Physical Therapist—or an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant—to a vibrant local school district in the Houston area. This contract opportunity is perfect for those passionate about supporting students' physical development across a large and diverse school community, while working full time alongside a dedicated team.
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to a caseload of approximately 160 students, in partnership with another licensed PT (with about 50 receiving direct services) Provide therapy services across 50 district campuses (district office serves as a central base; travel between schools required) Serve a broad K-12 population with varied therapy needs Utilize Frontline and SuccessEd platforms for timely, accurate documentation Maintain strong collaboration with educators, families, and other service providers Adhere to all district policies and required credentialing, including state fingerprinting/backgro
Qualifications:
Active Texas Physical Therapist (PT) license (or highly qualified, school-experienced PTA) Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting required Flexibility to work on-site, full-time (37.5 hours/week) Ability to organize and manage a multi-school caseload Must have clean professional history (never employed previously by the district; questions regarding past employment or terminations will be required as part of compliance) Willingness to undergo state-mandated fingerprinting/background checks This is a full academic-year position, running ASAP through May 26, 2027. The work schedule is school-day based, typically 8:00-4:00 or 7:30-3:30, depending on campus.
