Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Take your physical therapy expertise into a dynamic school environment serving a diverse K-12 student population. This full-time, contract position offers you the opportunity to work with a dedicated team, providing essential evaluative, consultative, and direct PT services to approximately 37 students. With no mandatory professional development days interrupting your schedule, you'll enjoy a consistent work routine and the chance to make a meaningful impact throughout the academic year.
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license and eligibility to practice in a school-based setting Experience working with K-12 populations highly preferred Strong background in student evaluations, report writing, consultative support, and direct service delivery Ability to manage and adapt to a caseload of varying needs Open to both experienced professionals and compassionate travelers interested in contract work Willingness to consider alternative staffing models (full-time PTA with part-time PT supervision) where needed
Primary Responsibilities & Duties:
Deliver direct physical therapy services and design tailored treatment plans for students Conduct evaluations and create comprehensive reports in compliance with school policies Provide consultative services and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families Maintain accurate documentation for each student's progress Adhere to contract timelines and respond flexibly in the event of staffing changes (e.g., potential 30-day notice if a permanent hire is made)
