9544424-79849 Job Description Step into an impactful role as a part-time, school-based Physical Therapist for the 2026/2027 academic year, serving students ages 322. This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful difference by supporting Special Education students success and access in diverse school environments, including classrooms, playgrounds, cafeterias, and other learning spaces. Youll collaborate closely with educators, staff, and families to ensure each student receives the support they need to thrive.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Texas Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program with completed fieldwork education Must hold a valid drivers license Adherence to the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners rules and ethics

Preferred:

Experience in school-based or pediatric settings

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct physical therapy services to Special Education students Participate in student referral and assessment processes, including IEP meetings and goal development Offer expertise and support for assistive technology and adaptive equipment Collaborate with staff and parents to facilitate best practices and implement standards-based IEP goals Support students access to learning across varied environments, including virtual settings if needed Maintain accurate, timely documentation and confidential records Present assessment and intervention plans during annual, review, and dismissal meetings Engage in ongoing professional development and uphold professional standards in conduct and communication Contribute to transition services for students as they advance through grade levels Additional duties as assigned by Special Education leadership To apply, prepare your current resume, a copy of your valid drivers license, proof of Texas PT licensure, and your college transcripts.
