1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital setting requiring 1+ years of experience and BLS certification. Details Acute care hospital setting Days shift, Monday through Friday 0800-1730, with one weekend per month 9-hour shifts, 40 hours per week Uses Epic EMR Provides care to patients with neuromuscular, orthopedic, and other physically-related disorders May float to other areas or sites as needed Requires flexibility to work standard and flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and after hours Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience required BLS certification required Physical Therapist license required from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact (license required if applicable) Dry Needling Certification required only if performing dry needling functions Previous direct patient care experience in outpatient, inpatient, or inpatient rehab settings preferred Prior EMR experience preferred Driver's license copy required for consideration Additional Information Responsibilities include a variety of therapeutic interventions such as ADL retraining, patient education in home safety, adaptive equipment and compensation techniques, therapeutic exercise programs, manual therapy, aquatic therapy, and neuromuscular re-education Participates in professional responsibilities including documentation, program development, teaching, and enhancement of clinical skills Care provided under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility Clinicians must be in-state for orientation week even if initial modules are completed remotely
