Position Overview Atrium Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Therapist to join our onsite team at our Rehabilitation Center in Dulles, Virginia. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the recovery and well-being of patients through tailored rehabilitation programs. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with functional limitations and disabilities to craft individualized treatment plans. Implement and monitor treatment protocols, documenting progress, and making necessary adjustments based on re-evaluations. Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure a seamless continuum of care for patients. Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment processes, expected outcomes, and home exercise programs. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and community outreach efforts, enhancing service delivery and patient engagement. Supervise and mentor support staff, contributing to team skill development while managing departmental resources effectively. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic conditions that impact mobility. You will tailor your approaches to meet the unique needs of each patient, ensuring that cultural sensitivity and individualized care are at the forefront of your methodology. Your contributions will directly influence the rehabilitation journey of your patients, helping them regain their independence and improve their quality of life. Qualifications Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution. Current state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams. Proficient in electronic health record documentation and basic computer skills. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Preferred Experience Candidates should ideally have a minimum of two years of clinical experience in physical therapy, particularly in outpatient rehabilitation settings. Familiarity with therapeutic exercise routines, manual therapy techniques, and patient education strategies will be advantageous.
