Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations of patients who have been referred by physicians, assessing their physical capabilities and limitations. Craft personalized treatment programs based on evidence-based practices to address the specific needs of each patient. Utilize a range of therapeutic modalities and exercise techniques to improve patient outcomes, focusing on orthopedic conditions. Deliver educational resources and health training to patients and their caregivers, empowering them with knowledge to aid in their recovery. Work closely with a team of health professionals to create and continuously improve treatment protocols and maximize patient effectiveness. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with health care regulations and ethical standards. Exhibit outstanding customer service skills, enhancing patient satisfaction and clinic reputation. Meet specified productivity targets while upholding high standards of quality in care. Patient Population / Client Focus This position will engage with a diverse patient population, including individuals dealing with orthopedic injuries, post-operative recovery, pediatric needs, neurologic conditions, and sports medicine-related challenges. As a vital member of our team, you will help guide patients through each stage of their rehabilitation, focusing on not only physical recovery but also emotional and psychological support to foster a holistic healing environment. Qualifications A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required. A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia. Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in orthopedics. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an accredited provider. Strong verbal and written communication skills, facilitating effective patient interactions. Proficient in computer skills relating to patient management systems and documentation. A collaborative spirit, with the ability to foster strong relationships with patients and their families. A commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.
