This contract opportunity calls for a skilled professional. Your expertise in radiation treatment delivery will ensure accuracy, safety, and compassionate care for patients undergoing cancer treatments.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (5 x 8-hour shifts)
Key Qualifications:
Active and valid Virginia Radiation Therapist license required at time of application Proficient in utilizing Truebeam and Halcyon linear accelerators Experience with Aria for record and verify processes Demonstrated competency in dosimetry, tumor localization, and assisting with treatment planning Able to triage patients in need of nursing evaluation Previous experience in Brachytherapy procedures highly preferred Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to support patients and team members Capable of providing clinical instruction to students in a mentorship capacity
Core Responsibilities:
Administer radiation therapy treatments in compliance with the prescription and guidance of a radiation oncologist Accurately interpret treatment plans and safely operate sophisticated radiotherapy equipment Perform simulation procedures and prepare patients for treatments as needed Support Brachytherapy procedures alongside physicians and other clinicians Keep detailed, accurate records within the Aria system and adhere to established protocols Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and provide guidance to students when applicable Respond quickly to identify and triage patients experiencing adverse symptoms, ensuring their prompt evaluation If you're a dedicated radiation therapist eager to make a meaningful impact, we invite you to submit your application today.
