Position Overview Bright Star Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in Leesburg, Virginia. This full-time position is focused on delivering high-quality in-home physical therapy services. You will play a vital role in improving patients' quality of life by assisting them in their recovery from injuries, alleviating pain, and restoring functional mobility. Work Environment As a Physical Therapist in our home care setting, you will work directly within patients' homes, offering a unique and intimate environment for rehabilitation. This onsite position allows you to evaluate and treat clients in their own surroundings, ensuring therapy is tailored to their everyday life. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, providing comprehensive therapy while also evaluating and improving home environments for rehabilitation. Key Responsibilities The Physical Therapist will undertake a variety of responsibilities, including: Developing individualized treatment plans that prevent disability and enhance physical function based on patients' specific needs. Conducting assessments that include diagnostic and prognostic tests to evaluate muscle, nerve, joint, and functional capabilities. Supervising Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure proper implementation of care plans and therapeutic techniques. Administering a range of therapeutic interventions such as manual exercises, traction, and modalities for pain reduction. Providing education and training to clients and families on rehabilitation techniques and equipment use. Maintaining comprehensive clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, and progress notes. Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate comprehensive treatment strategies for each patient. Delivering timely documentation and communication with healthcare partners to ensure continuity of care. Monitoring and reporting changes in patients' conditions and adjusting care plans as necessary in collaboration with healthcare teams. Patient Population / Client Focus This role primarily focuses on clients recovering from surgeries, managing chronic pain, and regaining mobility. The patient demographic varies widely, including older adults, post-operative patients, and individuals with disabilities. Each client requires a tailored approach that emphasizes their unique challenges and living conditions to enhance their recovery and independence. Qualifications To be considered for this role, candidates must possess: A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and valid licensure in the State of Virginia. Current CPR certification and compliance with state regulations regarding physical therapy practice. Demonstrated ability to engage patients and their families empathetically, fostering a supportive and motivating environment. Robust assessment and clinical reasoning skills to effectively develop and modify treatment plans. Preferred Experience Ideal candidates will have: A minimum of two years of experience in physical therapy, preferably in a home care or community setting. Experience with a variety of therapeutic modalities and techniques applicable to rehabilitative care. Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management. Compensation and Benefits Bright Star Physical Therapy offers a competitive annual salary ranging fromUSD 100,000
to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
