Key Responsibilities As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include: Conducting thorough examinations and evaluations of patients with a variety of orthopedic conditions. Developing comprehensive, patient-centered treatment plans that address functional limitations and disabilities. Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions that may include manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, and modalities in line with state regulations. Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure a cohesive continuum of care. Providing education and consultation to patients, families, and caregivers to facilitate understanding of treatment goals and discharge planning. Utilizing electronic health records (EHR) efficiently to document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress. Supervising support staff, including physical therapy assistants, aides, and students during treatment sessions. Engaging in community outreach, quality improvement initiatives, and program development to enhance patient services. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge through participation in continuing education and attending staff meetings. Patient Population / Client Focus The primary patient population at Bear Lake PT Clinic consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal disorders. Our therapists are skilled in treating diverse age groups, incorporating adaptive and rehabilitative techniques appropriate for each patient's specific needs. Qualifications To be successful in this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications: A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution. Current state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Strong verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective patient interaction and documentation. Proficiency in computer systems for data entry and EHR management. Preferred Experience While not mandatory, the following experiences will enhance your application: A minimum of two years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy. Experience working in a rehabilitation facility with a focus on collaborative team dynamics. Advanced certifications in manual therapy, sports rehabilitation, or other relevant specialties. USD 100,000
