Description:
Position Overview Body and Motion Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to join our comprehensive rehabilitation team in Centreville, Virginia. Work Environment This role takes place in our modern rehabilitation facility located in the heart of Centreville. As a Physical Therapist, you will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team which includes physical therapy assistants, occupational therapists, and orthopedic specialists. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and assess patients' physical abilities using diagnostic testing, including muscle strength, joint mobility, and functional capabilities. Design and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, focusing on injury prevention, pain relief, and functional recovery. Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities like ultrasound and electrical stimulation. Provide hands-on support and instruction in home exercise programs, while educating patients and their families on managing their physical therapy plans. Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants in delivering aspects of therapeutic interventions. Participate in ongoing assessment and modifications of the treatment plan based on patient progress, and maintain accurate clinical records for compliance and effective continuity of care. Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient management. Engage in professional development activities, including attending workshops and training for skills enhancement. Patient Population / Client Focus Our clientele ranges from post-surgical patients to those managing chronic pain and sports-related injuries. You will work closely with individuals of all ages, ensuring their rehabilitation goals are met while respecting their unique healthcare needs. Our approach emphasizes not just physical recovery but also educating clients on prevention strategies and lifestyle modifications. Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution. Active and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia. A minimum of one year of experience working as a Physical Therapist, preferably in a rehabilitation or outpatient setting. Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety in various healthcare scenarios. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and their families. Preferred Experience Experience in orthopedic or geriatric rehabilitation. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and documentation standards. Skills in mentorship or training of less experienced staff. Compensation and Benefits This full-time Physical Therapist position offers a competitive salary ranging from
USD 100,000
to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
