Position Overview Empower Rehab Clinic is actively seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Centreville, Virginia. Work Environment The ideal candidate will work in a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in Centreville, Virginia. This onsite role involves close collaboration with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists. You will engage in a customized treatment environment where patient dignity and personalized care are paramount. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, encouraging a balanced work-life approach for all team members. Key Responsibilities Your duties as an Orthopedic Rehabilitation Physical Therapist will include: Conducting thorough evaluations of patients, including reviewing comprehensive medical histories and performing specific assessments to determine the best course of treatment. Communicating evaluation findings and treatment plans effectively to patients and their families, ensuring that they are involved in goal-setting for their rehabilitation journey. Demonstrating expertise in implementing treatment protocols that align with patient evaluations, adapting as necessary based on ongoing assessments and evolving healthcare regulations. Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure a holistic approach to patients' rehabilitation, recognizing any changes in conditions that require adjustments in care. Managing complete and accurate documentation for all patient care activities, including initial assessments, daily encounter notes, and discharge evaluations. Optimizing time management skills to meet productivity expectations while actively participating in hospital and community outreach efforts. Assisting in the development of department goals and strategies while complying with all relevant regulations. Engaging in personal and professional development through ongoing education opportunities, contributing as a clinical educator to physical therapy students. Advocating for exceptional patient experiences by being adaptable and responsive to their needs, ensuring accessibility to our services. Qualifications To be considered for this position, you must possess: A Bachelor's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution. A valid state license to practice as a physical therapist in Virginia. Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association. Preferred Experience While prior clinical experience is not mandatory, candidates with experience in orthopedic rehabilitation or outpatient settings are encouraged to apply.
