Direct Performance Physical Therapy is actively hiring Physical Therapists to support our growing team across the Virginia Beach and Chesapeake area , including opportunities supporting our Great Neck and Kempsville offices . Practice Physical Therapy With Active, Motivated Patients You will work with patients who want more than temporary symptom relief. Your caseload may include:
Athletes. Active adults. Post-operative patients. Patients recovering from acute or chronic pain. Individuals working toward improved strength and mobility. Patients preparing to return to sport or competition. Individuals returning to exercise, work, or recreational activities. Use Your Full Physical Therapy Skill Set This is a Physical Therapist role where you will have the opportunity to evaluate, problem-solve, and make thoughtful clinical decisions based on each patient's presentation and goals.
Your treatment approach may include:
Orthopedic Physical Therapy. Sports rehabilitation. Manual therapy. Functional movement assessment. Therapeutic exercise. Progressive strengthening and loading. Patient education. Deliver Individualized Physical Therapy At Direct Performance Physical Therapy, you will not simply move patients through a standard protocol. You will have the opportunity to: Perform comprehensive Physical Therapy evaluations. Identify the factors contributing to pain, weakness, or movement limitations. Develop individualized plans of care. Progress treatment based on objective findings and measurable outcomes. Educate patients throughout their recovery. Modify treatment as patients progress. Build meaningful and trusted patient relationships. Help patients confidently return to the activities they value. Your clinical reasoning is part of the treatment process. Grow Your Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy Skills You will continue developing your clinical confidence in areas such as: Orthopedic evaluation and treatment. Sports rehabilitation. Movement analysis. Manual therapy. Progressive loading. Functional rehabilitation. Post-operative recovery. Return-to-sport programming. Strength and performance development.

Work in a Direct Access Physical Therapy Environment Direct Performance Physical Therapy uses a direct access model , allowing patients to begin Physical Therapy without unnecessary delays. This gives you the opportunity to become involved earlier in the recovery process, build stronger continuity of care, and guide patients through an individualized rehabilitation experience from evaluation through return to activity. What You Will Do As a Physical Therapist, you will: Perform Physical Therapy evaluations and re-evaluations. Develop individualized plans of care. Provide one-on-one patient treatment. Use orthopedic, sports rehabilitation, manual therapy, and performance-based treatment strategies. Progress patients toward strength, mobility, functional, and performance goals. Educate patients about their diagnosis, treatment plan, and recovery. Adjust treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient progress. Maintain accurate and compliant documentation. Collaborate with a supportive clinical team. Participate in community outreach and injury screenings. Help patients safely return to work, exercise, activity, and sport. Schedule Monday through Thursday, 9-hour days. Friday, 5-hour day. No on-call expectations. Flexible scheduling opportunities. Strong communication, documentation, and patient education skills.
