Job Description
•$10,000 Sign On/Retention Bonus for Eligible Candidates •Lead role includes an additional stipend. SVMC is seeking a physical therapy team leader who thrives on both leading people and treating patients. In this split role you'll guide a talented therapy team while delivering hands-on care. Under the guidance of the Director of Rehabilitation services, you will provide leadership and supervision of the day to day operations of the Physical Therapy Service. The team leader will assure cost-effective staffing patterns that meet patient care needs, achieve patient satisfaction and result in the best possible clinical outcomes. They oversee implementation of policies/procedures/standards, continuous quality improvement and the empowerment of the PT team. As an outpatient physical therapist in this split role, you will be responsible for a reduced case load. You will be responsible for evaluating, developing, implementing, and documenting a plan of treatment for patients of all ages. You'll work with individuals of all ages and conditions, from post-surgical athletes eager to get back on the field to older adults striving to maintain mobility and independence. Your expertise will directly improve quality of life, empower patients to take charge of their health, and strengthen the fabric of our community. Candidates may choose to work at our main outpatient clinic and/or one of our satellite locations (Deerfield Valley Health Center in Wilmington, VT, Northshire Medical Center in Manchester, VT or Twin Rivers in Hoosick Falls, NY), in their clinical role. A weekend fair turn commitment in our inpatient department is required. In addition, this position has the opportunity to supervise physical therapist assistants and students.
