Job Description

Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a lasting impact by providing vital physical therapy services across K-12 students in a supportive educational setting. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work part-time—just two days per week—serving a diverse student population across four district buildings. Help enhance students' mobility, participation, and independence throughout the academic year, beginning August 26 and ending June 14.
Qualifications:
Hold a current Vermont Physical Therapist (PT) Certificate Experience with a range of school-based physical therapy needs (K-12 preferred but not required) Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with educators, support staff, and parents Comfortable working across multiple sites within a district Flexible, organized, and proactive in supporting individualized education plans
Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy services in accordance with students' IEP goals Screen, assess, and develop treatment plans tailored to student abilities and needs Consult with teachers and staff on adaptive strategies and equipment Maintain clear and consistent records of evaluations, progress, and sessions Provide input on modifications to help students access the school environment Motivate and encourage students to reach therapy goals in a positive, inclusive manner Communicate regularly with families and contribute to team meetings when needed Enjoy the benefits of a part-time, flexible contract schedule, impacting the lives of students while maintaining work-life balance.
