Rehabilitation Technician Reports To:
Clinic Director Position Summary:
Advanced Rehabilitation is searching for a Rehabilitation Technician to help support the clinical team by assisting physical and occupational therapists in the delivery of patient care and ensuring smooth daily operations of the therapy clinic. This role involves preparing treatment areas, maintaining equipment, assisting patients during therapy sessions, managing administrative tasks, and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist physical and occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans under their supervision. Prepare treatment areas and equipment before and after patient sessions. Escort and assist patients safely to and from treatment areas. Monitor and encourage patients during exercise programs, ensuring proper technique and safety. Clean and maintain therapy equipment and ensure treatment areas are organized and compliant with infection control standards. Perform clerical duties including scheduling, verifying patient appointments, and maintaining accurate patient flow. Assist with inventory management. Support therapists with documentation and data collection as permitted by state law and company policy. Communicate effectively with patients, therapists, and administrative staff to support excellent patient care. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and continuing education as required.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Prior experience in a healthcare or therapy setting preferred. Basic knowledge of physical therapy, occupational therapy, or exercise science preferred. Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to follow directions, multitask, and work in a team environment. Physical ability to lift and assist patients and equipment (up to 50 lbs).
Work Environment:
Outpatient physical and occupational therapy clinic setting. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and moderate lifting. Interaction with patients, clinicians, and administrative personnel.
Schedule & Compensation:
Monday through Thursday (some flexibility may be required). Hourly rate based on experience and credentials.
