Job Overview APTSR is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Aide who values patient-centred care. Reporting to the Clinic Director, this role is integral to delivering a seamless patient experience while supporting clinical operations in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate is a motivated pre-health student or early-career professional seeking hands-on clinical experience in a supportive outpatient environment. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain treatment areas to ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment
• Set up, break down, and sanitize therapy equipment before and after patient use
• Assist patients in entering and exiting the treatment area and ensure their comfort and safety at all times
• Support therapists by guiding patients through prescribed exercises (as directed by PT/PTA)
• Monitor patient flow and help ensure sessions run on schedule
• Perform light administrative duties, including patient check-in, scheduling support, and answering phones
• Maintain clinic supplies, laundry, and general facility upkeep
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients regarding appointments, documentation, and next steps
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, supportive workplace culture Qualifications
• High school diploma required; post-secondary education in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field preferred
• Currently enrolled in or planning to apply to a PT, PTA, Nursing, or healthcare-related program is an asset
• Strong interest in rehabilitation, patient care, and healthcare environments
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-first approach
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic setting
• Comfortable working on your feet and assisting with light physical tasks throughout the day
• Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office (or similar platforms) preferred
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
