At Central Jersey Physical Therapy Associates , you will work directly alongside Physical Therapists and our clinical team while helping patients safely complete their exercise programs, preparing treatment areas, and creating an organized and welcoming clinic experience. This is more than simply cleaning tables or moving equipment. We are looking for someone who wants to learn, take ownership of the patient experience, understand how a busy outpatient orthopedic clinic operates, and become a valuable part of the clinical team. This can be an especially strong opportunity for an exercise science or kinesiology graduate, aspiring Physical Therapist, experienced PT aide, or foreign-trained Physical Therapist currently working toward U.S. licensure. Here, you will be actively involved in the patient experience. You will help supervise prescribed exercises, observe how patients progress through rehabilitation, communicate with the clinical team, and learn how an established outpatient orthopedic clinic operates. You may gain exposure to patients recovering from: Orthopedic injuries Joint and muscle conditions Sports injuries Surgery and joint replacement Strength and mobility limitations Balance concerns Geriatric conditions Vestibular conditions Chronic pain and movement limitations You will see how Physical Therapists modify exercises, progress patients, communicate with different personalities, and help people return to the activities that matter to them. Help Patients Exercise Safely and Successfully A major part of this position is quality exercise supervision . Under the direction of our licensed clinical team, you will help patients complete their prescribed exercise programs correctly and safely.
You will:
Guide patients through assigned therapeutic exercises Observe exercise technique and patient response Reinforce instructions provided by the Physical Therapist Help patients stay engaged and motivated during their visits Communicate concerns or changes to the treating clinician Assist with appropriate exercise setup and equipment Help maintain an efficient flow throughout the clinic You should enjoy interacting with people and be comfortable giving clear directions in a friendly and professional way. Your responsibilities will also include:
Preparing treatment areas before and between patients Cleaning and organizing treatment tables and equipment Keeping exercise and treatment spaces ready for the clinical team Assisting Physical Therapists with clinic flow Helping patients transition between treatment activities Maintaining a clean, professional, and organized environment Building positive relationships with patients Supporting the clinical team wherever needed We are looking for someone who notices what needs to be done and takes initiative rather than waiting to be asked. This Role May Be a Great Fit If You Are An Exercise Science or Kinesiology graduate Considering applying to Physical Therapy school A pre-PT or pre-healthcare student looking for clinical experience A foreign-trained Physical Therapist currently pursuing U.S. or New Jersey licensure An experienced Physical Therapy aide or rehabilitation technician Someone who has previously worked in a busy orthopedic or rehabilitation environment Interested in exercise, movement, sports, fitness, or rehabilitation Comfortable working directly with patients Friendly, energetic, dependable, and professional Able to take direction while also showing initiative Organized and attentive to detail Comfortable working in a fast-moving clinical environment Interested in becoming part of a team rather than simply clocking in and out Previous Physical Therapy experience is helpful, but the right attitude, work ethic, communication skills, and willingness to learn are equally important. Schedule This is a full-time, onsite position in Old Bridge, New Jersey. Monday through Friday Daily start time generally between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM Daily end time generally between 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM Schedule may vary based on clinic needs Why Central Jersey Physical Therapy Associates?
