What you'll do Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans and exercises tailored to individual patient needs. Prepare treatment areas and equipment, ensuring a clean and safe environment for all patients. Provide exceptional patient service by welcoming patients, guiding them through their sessions, and addressing any questions or concerns. Maintain accurate patient intake records and document progress during therapy sessions. Support patients during their rehabilitation exercises, ensuring they perform movements safely and effectively. Educate patients about anatomy and physiology as it relates to their treatment plans. Collaborate with healthcare professionals in acute care, outpatient, inpatient, orthopedics, geriatrics, and post-acute settings to optimize patient outcomes. Participate in continuous learning opportunities to enhance your knowledge of medical terminology and hospital medicine. Basic qualifications Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assist with patient care effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients and team members. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Preferred qualifications Previous experience in a hospital or clinic setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with medical terminology related to physical therapy practices. Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics and orthopedic patients. Background in sub-acute care or outpatient services is a plus.
