Physical Therapist Assistant
Job Description
Job Summary The Physical Therapist Assistant supports licensed Physical Therapists in delivering high‑quality orthopedic rehabilitation. This role is essential for maintaining patient flow, treatment progression, and clinic efficiency. Responsibilities Implement treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed PT. Assist with exercise progression, manual therapy support, and patient education. Document treatment interventions per Arizona PTA practice standards. Maintain equipment, treatment areas, and safety protocols. Support clinic throughput and operational efficiency. Experience Prior inpatient or outpatient experience in physical therapy or skilled nursing facilities is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy. Hands-on experience with manual therapy techniques and clinical assessment documentation. Familiarity with medical equipment operation used in physiotherapy treatments. Experience working within various healthcare environments such as acute care, home health, or outpatient clinics is advantageous. Proven ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans. Previous exposure to electronic health records (EHR) management systems ensures smooth documentation workflows.
