Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)Position SummaryWe are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will help patients improve strength, mobility, balance, and functional independence.
Responsibilities Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist. Provide therapeutic exercises and physical therapy interventions. Assist patients with mobility, balance, strength, and range-of-motion activities. Monitor patient response to treatment and report changes to the Physical Therapist. Educate patients on exercises and home programs as directed. Assist with gait training and use of assistive devices. Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation. Follow patient safety and infection control procedures. Maintain treatment equipment and a safe therapy environment. Collaborate with the Physical Therapist and healthcare team.
Qualifications Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current PTA license or certification as applicable. Previous clinical experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow treatment plans and work effectively as part of a healthcare team. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
